President’s Message
Born in 2021 from a shared urgency to accelerate port decarbonization through onshore power supply, EOPSA evolved from an informal exchange into Europe’s leading OPS reference platform. By uniting ports, industry leaders, technology providers, and energy experts, the association has helped shape the European OPS agenda through policy dialogue, regulatory input, and direct engagement with EU institutions. Beyond advocacy, EOPSA built a trusted community through hands-on collaboration, field engagement, and knowledge exchange across Europe.
Today, EOPSA is entering a new phase focused on implementation support, cross-sector cooperation, and scaling maritime electrification, with a growing leadership role across Europe and the Mediterranean

EOPSA represents the collective voice of the OPS Expert community in Europe.
EOPSA is Transparency Registered Association, presenting position papers and advocacy campaigns, serving to inform and support policy makers.
EOPSA is committed to accelerating the decarbonization of ports and shipping through the deployment of Onshore Power Supply (OPS), energy hubs / microgrids, and related electrification solutions.
A key part of EOPSA’s mission is to support this deployment on the ground. With the launch of our bespoke strategic advisory services, EOPSA INSIGHTS, we help turn ambition into action.
EOPSA’s non-profit format ensures that all advisory support is mission driven and focused on helping - not profiting from - stakeholders. By generating revenue solely to sustain operations and reinvest in its goals, EOPSA maintains full independence from any specific technology, vendor, or advocacy interest. This guarantees impartial guidance and strengthens trust across the port electrification ecosystem.
